Tummy Tuck Before & After Case 1
Before & After
Case Details
After considering a tummy tuck for a couple of years, this 26 year-old woman started researching plastic surgeons in Montgomery, Alabama. Soon after, she met with Dr. Beckenstein at his Birmingham Plastic Surgery office. She explained that she was dissatisfied with how her clothes fit and unhappy with the bulge in her lower abdomen. This patient particularly appreciated the relaxed, welcoming environment that Dr. Beckenstein provides for his consultations. When he meets with patients, Dr. Beckenstein makes sure to give patients the time they need to understand their options and feel comfortable sharing their goals. Together, the two decided on a tummy tuck procedure.
Dr. Beckenstein utilizes several abdominoplasty techniques at his Birmingham, Alabama plastic surgery practice. These procedures address the different levels of abdominal laxity and he selects a technique based on patient’s individual situations. A "traditional" abdominoplasty or tummy tuck, which was chosen for this patient, is used for patients with excess skin and fat, as well as significant abdominal wall laxity.
This patient enjoyed a typically smooth recovery that is associated with tummy tucks, and she was almost immediately able to see her new, more flattering look. Dr. Beckenstein often tells his patients that tummy tucks are one of his favorite procedures to perform because they tend to create such dramatic, satisfying results - as this patient can confirm. A year after her body contouring surgery, she has maintained her flattering, new shape. Her scar is still somewhat visible, but can be well hidden by most lingerie or a two-piece bathing suit. She is very happy with the results of her Alabama plastic surgery.
